Age-appropriate is the whole game
A seven-year-old can wipe down a table, feed a pet, and put their laundry in the hamper. They cannot mow the lawn or do their own laundry start to finish. A twelve-year-old can vacuum, load the dishwasher, and cook a basic meal with supervision. The AI knows developmental norms and builds the chart around what kids can actually do at each age — which is the difference between a chore chart that gets done and one that causes a daily argument.
The note on why each chore is age-appropriate
That brief explanation serves two purposes. First, it helps you — as the parent — understand whether the expectation is reasonable before you introduce it. Second, it gives you language to use with your child when they push back. 'Because it teaches you to take care of your own space' is a better answer than 'because I said so,' and the AI will give you exactly that reasoning for each task.
